Banks enrolled in CASS provide a guarantee whenever you transfer your accounts between them. This means there will be:
Switching to Allica Bank with the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) is easy. All you need to do is choose your switch date, and CASS will notify your old bank. Your existing payments, such as your salary and bills, will be transferred to your new account. This means you don’t have to rearrange direct debits or standing orders on your own. Within seven days, your balance will be transferred to your Allica account, and your old account will be closed.

Savings accounts cannot be switched.
When you use the Current Account Switch Service to change banks, your previous bank will shut down your old account. This ensures that any payments sent to your old account are rerouted to your new one automatically. If you prefer to keep your old account active, you're welcome to do so. However, if you opt to keep it open, you can't use the Current Account Switch Service, and you won't be covered by their guarantee.
Your new account will automatically receive all incoming and outgoing payments. Whenever a payment is redirected, the sender receives an automatic notification with your updated account details, allowing them to update their records accordingly. Redirection to your new account applies for three years after your switch date. We recommend that when you switch over to Allica, you should also update your customers with the new Allica account details. Some organisations might reach out directly to verify your updated information.
You can choose a switch date with us. Make sure you allow seven working days for the switch to take place, and note the switch date cannot be a Saturday, Sunday or a Bank Holiday.

You can access the money in your old account up until your switch date. The final balance from your old account with be automatically transferred to your Allica account on day seven of the switch.
The Current Account Switch Service won’t transfer any new payment arrangements made within the seven working day window prior to the switch date. If you want to set up new payment arrangements during the seven working day period leading up to your switch date, you must do this in your new account.
Any refunds made to your old debit card after switching your account will be automatically sent to your Allica account. If you are expecting a refund, and have not received it, please contact us at cass.ops@allica.bank.
