Terms and Conditions

Allica Bank Limited is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 07706156 and registered address at 4th/5th Floor, 15 Worship Street, London EC2A 2DT and is referred to in this document as “Allica”, “we”, “us” and “our”.

Allica is the promoter of this competition (the “Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition”).

These terms and conditions apply to any participant of the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition. We will refer to the individual who is participating in the competition as “you” or “your”. It is important that you read and understand these terms and conditions. By participating in the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

How it works

To participate in the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition, you must: 

• share a photograph of your business on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or X, while tagging @Allica Bank and the Yorkshire Post (@yorkshirepost) and including the hashtag #YorkshireBusinessisBeautiful
• have posted your social media post to enter the competition between 4 April 2026 and 2 May 2026
• be a resident in the UK and aged 18 years or over  
• be a business registered in the counties of North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire

No employees of Allica Bank, including their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition can enter the competition.

The Prize

One (1) winner will be chosen by the judging panel at Allica Bank after 2 May 2026.

The winner will have their photo published in the Yorkshire Post alongside a short feature on their business (“Feature”). The winner must promptly provide details to Allica via email for inclusion in the Feature. The final content, format and publication of the Feature shall be at the sole discretion of the Yorkshire Post.

They will also receive a photoshoot from Jack Gray (the “Photographer”) (the “Photoshoot”), including edits and full rights to the images (subject to terms and conditions of the Photographer which are available on request).

The winner will be notified before 9 May by direct message on the social media platform that they entered on and must provide an email address to claim the prize. If a winner does not respond within seven days of being notified by us and/or does not respond promptly to any reasonable requests to enable us to complete the Feature or the Photoshoot, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and we will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The winner will be decided at the sole discretion of the judging panel.

We must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation we will send the business name of the prize winner and, if applicable, copies of their winning entries, to anyone who writes to Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition at marketing@allica.bank, Allica Bank Limited, 4th/5th Floor, 15 Worship Street, London EC2A 2DT (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the close the competition date stated in condition 1.1. If you object to any or all of your business name, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Allica marketing@allica.bank. In such circumstances, Allica must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Changes to competition

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Medial Competition where it becomes necessary to do so (including but not limited to changing the identity of the Photographer and/ or changing the prize if circumstances make it necessary to do so).

Miscellaneous

Allica’s decision regarding any aspect of the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

The prize cannot be claimed by you if Allica, acting reasonably, suspects a breach of these terms and conditions or suspects fraudulent behaviour with respect to the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition.

Allica accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

Personal data supplied during the course of the Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition will only be processed as set out in the Allica’s privacy notice.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claims or disputes arising from or related to the Allica Bank Yorkshire Business is Beautiful Social Media Competition.
