Allica Bank partners with elite netball players to inspire the next generation of netball players ahead of the Netball World Cup

Allica Bank partners with elite netball players Tamsin Greenway, Laura Malcolm, and Sasha Corbin to inspire the next generation of netball players ahead of the Netball World Cup.

Allica Bank is proud to announce its partnership with renowned netball players Tamsin Greenway, Laura Malcolm, and Sasha Corbin as part of the #SupportUs campaign, aimed at championing grassroots sports and celebrating the ambition and resilience that unite sports players and business owners across the UK.

Grassroots sports play a vital role in British communities, bringing people together and representing the very best of what Britain has to offer. As a bank committed to serving established businesses, Allica Bank recognises the importance of supporting local communities and their sporting endeavours.

Tamsin Greenway, former England Roses player with 67 caps and current head coach of the Scotland Netball team, Laura Malcolm, representing the England Roses at the 2023 Netball World Cup and founder of a coaching company in Manchester, and Sasha Corbin, ex-England Roses player and current player for Barbados, have joined forces with Allica Bank to inspire the next generation of British athletes.

Through a series of captivating videos, Tamsin, Laura, and Sasha share their personal stories of how their communities supported them on their journey to becoming top professional athletes. They highlight the influential figures who believed in them, provided guidance, and opened doors of opportunity that propelled their careers forward.

"When I was a young player, my dad was massively influential to me. Just having someone there who was willing to support my desire to become a better player was really important to help me get to where I am today," shared Laura Malcolm, England Roses player.

Tamsin Greenway, Scotland Netball Head Coach, expressed her gratitude for a coach at university who had the biggest impact on her netball career: "She properly took a chance on me. If I didn't have that support or opportunity, I'm not sure it would have happened."

Sasha Corbin, ex-England Rose and current player for Barbados, emphasised the importance of inclusivity in sports: "It doesn't matter if you're female or male, you're an athlete. It would be great to get to a point where we can do that in all sports."

Through this partnership with elite netball players, Allica Bank aims to inspire and encourage the next generation of British athletes. Find out more about how Allica Bank will be supporting grassroots sport across the UK and their #SupportUs campaign at allica.bank/supportus.
